Privacy

What we store

• If you turn on notifications: a device token and the list of countries and subjects you follow. Nothing else. You can delete both from the page at any time, and we delete them when you do.
• Server logs for security and uptime: IP address, requested page, time, kept for 14 days by our content-delivery network and then deleted. We do not use them for analytics.
• Your browser may keep small conveniences on your own device (theme, the cards you have seen, the countries you follow when notifications are off). That data never leaves your device.

What we do not do

• No cookies for tracking, no advertising identifiers, no fingerprinting.
• No analytics scripts from third parties. We count page views in aggregate from our own logs, without identifiers.
• No accounts, no email required, no social login.
• No sharing of any reader data with anyone, and nothing to share.

Third parties

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; your browser sends a request to Google for them. Everything else is served by us through our content-delivery network, Cloudflare, which processes requests to protect the site. Links on cards go to the outlets that wrote the stories and are governed by their policies.

Children

Orbseer is a news instrument and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask what we hold about you (the answer is almost always "nothing") and ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected].

Changes

This page carries the date it was last updated. Changes are listed at the bottom with their dates; nothing is changed silently.
